We are looking for a:
“Manager of Internal Communication, Engagement & Change Management”
As the Manager of Internal Communication, Engagement & Change Management, you will serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team and a vital anchor for the organization during a defining era of transformation.
In this senior-level role, you will design and steer the overarching internal communication and engagement strategy across Leroy Merlin Greece & Cyprus. Concurrently, you will act as the organization’s lead Transformation Architect, designing and embedding robust Change Management frameworks to support a multi-faceted business evolution. This includes spearheading the human side of our massive SAP implementation, guiding teams through continuous digital and operational shifts, and serving as the primary custodian of the unique ADEO "Sharing Culture" through initiatives like All Adeo and Valadeo.
Key Responsibilities🔄 Strategic Change Management & Transformation Leadership
Change Framework Architecture: Design, deploy, and scale a standardized change management methodology (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter) across all corporate offices and retail stores in Greece & Cyprus to build long-term organizational resilience.
The SAP Journey & Beyond: Lead the end-to-end change management strategy for the organization-wide migration to SAP, ensuring minimal business disruption, managing user anxiety, and driving high adoption rates.
Continuous Business Transformation: Beyond SAP, orchestrate change initiatives for ongoing strategic shifts, including business model evolutions, omni-channel retail integrations, supply chain modernizations, and restructured ways of working (Agile/cross-functional team alignment).
Impact, Risk & Readiness Assessments: Conduct deep-dive change impact assessments and organizational readiness audits. Identify potential friction points, cultural barriers, or "change fatigue," and proactively design mitigation plans.
Change Coalition & Ambassador Networks: Build, train, and mobilize an active network of regional Change Ambassadors and "Super Users" across stores and headquarters to champion new behaviors, gather ground-level feedback, and accelerate adoption.
Leadership Coaching for Change: Sponsor and coach line managers, store directors, and business unit leaders, equipping them with the tools to effectively manage resistance and lead their own teams through ambiguous transitions.
🌱 ADEO Culture Champion & "Sharing" Initiatives
Culture Custodian: Act as the primary champion for the ADEO & Leroy Merlin "Sharing Culture" (Sharing of Knowledge, Sharing of Power, Sharing of Value), aligning cultural evolution with operational changes.
Value-Sharing Rollout: Lead the localization, communication, and deep engagement actions for the All Adeo plan, ensuring every employee understands their connection to the global group.
Valadeo Launch: Strategically architect and execute the internal launch of the Valadeo employee shareholding fund across Greece and Cyprus, empowering employees to become active co-owners of our global growth.
🎯 Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee and Leadership Team, coaching them on strategic alignment, crisis communication, and visible change leadership.
Cross-Regional Alignment: Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and Operations to ensure transformation projects are fully integrated with the company's human capital strategy.
🤝 Employee Engagement & Corporate Events
Engagement Actions: Design and drive high-impact internal engagement actions and recognition programs aimed at boosting morale, retention, and a sense of belonging during times of high change.
Corporate Events & Listening: Oversee regional Town Halls, All-Hands meetings, and feedback loops (pulse surveys, focus groups) to measure the "health" of the transformation and report insights directly to leadership.
📝 Content & Channel Management
Transformation Storytelling: Oversee the creation of compelling narratives that clarify the "why" behind business transformations, utilizing all internal channels (Intranet, SharePoint, MS Teams, newsletters).
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or an MBA is highly valued.
Certification: Professional certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) is highly desirable/preferred.
Experience: At least 7+ years of progressive experience in Change Management, Transformation Leadership, and Internal Communications, ideally within a multinational, retail, or fast-paced consumer-facing environment.
Proven Transformation Track Record: Demonstrated success leading large-scale corporate transformations, involving both major ERP/SAP implementations and cultural/structural organizational shifts.
Skills & Competencies
Change Expertise: Deep knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools, with a proven ability to manage complex resistance and cultural inertia.
Leadership & Influence: Outstanding ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English, with a knack for translating complex technical or strategic shifts into simple, inspiring messages.
Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, exceptional resilience, adaptability, and a people-centric mindset aligned with the ADEO corporate ethos.
